Hello, my name is Connor, though many may recognize me by my online alias, "Alvo." I am currently a second year student in Independent Game Production (IGP) at Howest Digital Arts and Entertainment in Kortrijk. My passion for games has been a defining part of my life, shaping both my personal and professional aspirations.

From a young age, I have been captivated by the endless possibilities games offer. Titles like RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, which I discovered through a CD of my parents, and classic browser games on Newgrounds introduced me to the creativity and joy that games bring. My dad's old PlayStation 2 further expanded my gaming horizons, sparking a lifelong enthusiasm that would only grow over time.

In my early gaming years, I often turned to platforms like YouTube, following creators such as Markiplier, PewDiePie, and JackSepticEye for inspiration and entertainment. Minecraft soon became a daily ritual, fueling my imagination and giving me a sense of community, until an age restriction on a server made me quit and prompted me to explore console gaming. From many games ranging from Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, I delved into a range of genres, even experimenting with the PS Vita, a console that may not have stood the test of time but holds a special place in my heart.

In 2012, I made one of the most impactful decisions of my life: purchasing a gaming laptop. While perhaps not the most conventional choice for competitive gaming, it marked the beginning of my deep dive into PC gaming. Through Steam, I discovered Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, my most played game to date. This journey not only solidified my love for competition but also gave me invaluable insights into game design, player engagement, and what makes certain titles thrive while others falter.

Over the years, I have played hundreds of games across diverse genres, developing a strong understanding of both their successes and shortcomings.
